Exhibition dedicated to the 1000th Anniversary of Almaty city at the UNESCO Headquarters in Paris

Many rare showpieces of history and culture of Almaty (Kazakhstan) were collected and presented within the framework of exposition prepared by the Administration of Almaty city. Meanwhile, unique project «Children are painting the World. Asia», which was supported by the Almaty city Administration, The Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - the Leader of the Nation and UNESCO Almaty Cluster Office, was introduced to the international public. Organizer of this Festival, Kazakhstan National Federation of the UNESCO Clubs (KazFUCA) mentioned that the unprecedented number of children took part in the contest. More than 7000 young talented painters from 15 countries of Asia-Pacific region shared their view of Almaty city – the cultural capital of Kazakhstan. All their artworks were gathered in one memorable album dedicated to the 1000th Anniversary of Almaty that became a logical result of the work on two-year programme.

Moreover, the project «Unknown Kazakhstan» that was led by the Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan was presented to the attention of the guests. The photo exhibition of the rarest shots of natural beauties of Kazakhstan reflected the spirit of versatile cultural heritage. The works demonstrate the great steppes and uncover their history, introducing the unknown parts of a big country – Kazakhstan.

It is noteworthy that involvement of creative youth into promotion of the national brand of Kazakhstan on the international level is very important and the organizers of the exhibition couldn’t dismiss such significant international event as the commemorative UNESCO date – 1000th Anniversary of the cultural capital of Kazakhstan – Almaty city.
